Hi and welcome to Art of Sewing. It’s been a real whirlwind for the past two weeks with lots of changes. With a re-shuffle of the shelving and removal of 15 pedestals, the shop is looking a lot roomier and lighter. We have created a work area and found 3 new tutors. Lynda Brocklehurst will be joining us next year and Lynda Thrower will be taking a six week beginners quilters class and a general patchwork class this term. For all you ladies that have been asking about over-lockers, yes, we will be holding 2 hour beginner workshops with Kay Amos as your tutor.
Janome and Elna machines are in store and we still have Russell to service your machines and keep them in tip top shape.
New products are arriving daily with 33 lovely brushed cottons arriving today. They look terrific and our heads are swimming with visions of raggy quilts, disappearing 9 patches and snugly quilts. We are building up our collection of the new Moda Grunge range and are waiting on some stunning new batiks.
Sewline glue pens and refills are here, as well as Hugs ‘n Kisses applique paper. If you head down to the back corner of the shop, you’ll find a great range of bag hardware in antique brass and nickel.
Hope to see you all soon.
Happy sewing from The Team.
Well done! What a great asset to the sewing community. I can’t wait to visit your store on my next visit to Christchurch. You are obviously very passionate about what you do and it shows! Awesome work, congratulations to Sandra and the team. 🙂
Thank you KerryJane, looking forward to seeing you real soon.
The shop looks absolutely amazing, you have done an awesome job!
Thank you, it’s very kind of you to say so.
